I finally managed to see the capital during my studies in the UK! I have been there before but I was just 14 by then. I met two of my colleagues from york, who are also not living far away from London. The bus service is really good, there is a bus every 15-30 minutes, several bus stops to get on and off an it is not too expensive. So I got there and first I went to King's cross to meet my friends but I completeley forgot to visite platform 9 3/4. It was really crowded and it was hard to find each other. We first went to Portobello Road which is full of little shops. After that we had Lunch in an Indian Restaurant. It was not bad, but why do they have to make everythink so spicy??

Ich habe es tatsächlich mal geschafft die Hauptstadt zu sehen wo ich hier schon studiere. Ich war schonmal dort, aber damals war ich 14 und man sieht das Ganze jetzt schon etwas anders. Ich hab mich dort mit zwei Freunden aus York getroffen, die ihr Projekt auch nicht weit von London entfernt machen. Der Bus-service ist wirklich gut, die Busse fahren alle 15-30 minuten, man hat mehrere Haltestellen und es ist nicht zu teuer. Als ich angekommen war hab ich mich erstmal zum Bahnhof King's cross begeben, um die anderen beiden zu treffen, aber leider vergessen Gleis 9 3/4 zu besuchen. Es war dort sehr voll und es hat etwas gedauert bis wir uns gefunden haben. Zuerst sind wir zur Portobello Road gefahren, wo es sehr viele kleine Geschäfte gibt. Mittagessen gab es dann bei einem Inder. Es war an sich nicht schlecht, aber warum müssen die immer alles so schrecklich scharf machen, auch wenn man extra nach wenig scharf fragt...

Next place to visite was Harrods, this incredibly expensive luxury shopping center:

Danach ging es dann zu Harrody, diesem unglaublich teueren luxus shopping center:

But they have EADIBLE FLOWERS...I'm impressed...
Aber dafür haben sie ESSBARE BLUMEN....ich bin beeindruckt...
And they have little kitschy birthday cake...I guess incredibly sweet...I think I prefer a normal "Marmorkuchen"!!
Und es gibt kleine, kitschige Geburtstagskuchen...ich glaube schrecklich süß... da bevorzuge ich doch Mamas Marmorkuchen!

I really liked these salt and pepper shaker... but they were just much above my budget..
Diese Salz und Pfefferstreuer finde ich genial... aber sie sind einfach zuuuu teuer..
And that was what I bought myself: Some Tea, because of the caddy and do check, if the tea is better than Betty's. And??? A "German Rye Bread". And I have to say it is really good!!

Und das hab ich mir dann von Harrods gegönnt: Ein bisschen Tee, weil ich ne Harrods-Teedose haben möchte und um zu testen, ob der Tee besser als Betty's ist. Und??? Deutsches Roggenbrot!!!! Und es schmeckt wirklich gut!

It is very popular, especially with children.
Er ist mittlerweile wohl sehr beliebt, besonders bei Kindern.

That was my trip to London. Next weekend I will have a holiday weekend at home. And after that there are just 11 weeks until I finally return to good old Germany.
Das war mein London-trip. Nächstes Wochenende mache ich Kurzurlaub zuhause. Und danach sind es nur noch 11 Wochen bis ich ganz wiederkomme.
