2 weeks holiday and back in York!

After two weeks holiday I am back in York and starting to prepare my move to Oxford. The holiday at home was really good, Iam well recovered, had a great sailing weekend and my PhD in the Research Center Jülich is also sorted. We had a small sailing regatta in Lippstadt, with changing teams so that as many people as possible had the chance to be a helmsman. We had the greatest sailing weather: lots of sun, up to 30°C and wind... that happens approximately at 3 weekends a year.
Nach zwei Wochen Urlaub bin ich nun zurück in York und fange and meinen Umzug nach Oxford vorzubereiten. Der Urlaub zuhause war richtig gut, ich habe mich hervorragend erholt, hatte ein absolut geniales Segelwochenende und meine Promotionsstelle im Forschungszentrum Jülich ist auch sicher. Wir hatten eine kleine Regatta in Lippstadt, mit wechselnden Mannschaften, damit möglichst viele sich mal als Steuerman bzw. -frau versuchen konnten. Und dazu hatten wir allerbestes Segelwetter: ganz viel Sonne, bis zu 30°C und Wind...das kommt undgefähr an drei Wochenenden im Jahr mal vor.

Now I have started to prepare packing for Oxford... but this room is tooooooo small. If you put up 2 boxes the room is full... I have no idea how long it takes to get everything into ideally 20kg boxes... that will be great fun... I hate moving....especially with royal mail and rail!
Gestern bin ich wieder nach York gekommen, mein Flieger hatte das erste Mal keine Verspätung... beeindruckend!! Ich hab nun angefangen das Kistenpacken vorzubereiten, aber dieses Zimmer ist ein fach zu klein. wenn man zwei Kisten aufstellt ist das Zimmer voll. Ich hab noch keine Idee wie lange es dauert um alles in möglichst 20kg Kisten zu verpacken....das wird ein Spaß....Ich hasse umziehen, besonders mit Post und Bahn!
