My first protein gel: Mein erstes Proteingel:
And not that bad. All three proteins were expressed, and one is also present in the soluble sample. For those who don't know what I am speaking about: we have isolated all Proteins from some E.coli cells and then loaded onto an Polyacrylamidgel. The proteins are denaturated and are seperated regarding their molecular weight(similar to DNA, small proteins are faster). The dark bands are the recombinant proteins. Und garnichtmal so schlecht. Alle drei Protein wurden erfolgreich exprimiert und eins ist sogar löslich. Für die die nicht wissen wovon ich rede: wir haben aus den E.colis die wir angezogen haben mit dem entsprechenden fremden gen alle Proteine isoliert und auf ein Polyacrylamidgel aufgetragen. Die Proteine sind denaturiert und werden somit nach ihrem Molekulargewicht aufgetrennt. Dabei sind wie bei der DNA die kleinen Proteine schneller. Die dicken schwarzen banden sind die rekombinanten Proteine.
